For celebrities, politicians and high networth individuals whose lives maybe at risk or need the extra security and peace of mind, Jaguar Land Rover’s svelte and sleek armored response vehicle, the $409K Range Rover Sentinel is a luxury SUV and a tough one that packs a considerable punch. The Range Rover Sentinel is a purpose-built armored vehicle, specifically designed for life as a luxury high-performance SUV and doubles as an armored escape vehicle when required.
To the untrained eye Range Rover Sentinel looks and performs like a luxury civilian vehicle until it’s called into action. The Sentinel’s six-part safety cell can withstand sudden and prolonged attack from 7.62mm high-velocity armor-piercing incendiary rounds, 15kg lateral TNT blasts and multiple DM51 grenade attacks.
The Range Rover Sentinel is designed and built by Land Rover, and is exhaustively tested by specialist protection and ballistics experts, simulating real-word attacks under controlled conditions at their indoor and outdoor test facilities.
There’s a growing awareness that OEM armored products are superior in terms of holistic protection than aftermarket vehicles, and threats are becoming more severe resulting in a need for higher levels of armored protection. The Range Rover Sentinel armored SUV was on display at Intersec 2017 in Dubai earlier this month.
With more than 1,280 exhibitors Intersec is the largest exhibition in its industry and with visitors from 127 countries also the most international event worldwide. The high number of international trade visitors explains why Intersec is of unique value to all the target groups in the Security & Safety industry. Intersec 2017 was even bigger, presenting over 1,300 exhibitors that showcased a truly comprehensive range of products across seven broad sections: commercial security, smart home, information security, fire & rescue, safety & health, homeland security & policing and perimeter & physical security.
Global product launches, live demonstrations, new bilateral agreements, and updated UAE fire safety codes were among the many highlights that shared centre-stage, as the curtains came down on the world’s leading trade show for security, safety, and fire protection. According to organizer Messe Frankfurt Middle East, Intersec 2017 attracted 33,501 visitors from 127 countries, as they sourced solutions and networked with 1,304 exhibitors from 58 countries spanning 56,300 square meters of exhibition space.
