In the 1990s, Maurice Lacroix launched the Calypso quartz watch whose instantly recognizable forms quickly made it an icon. In 2016 the company returned to this cult timepiece, honed its design in keeping with current trends and renamed it, appropriately, the Aikon. Now Maurice Lacroix enters its blue period with the new Aikon Chronograph.
All in blue, with a sunburst dial and matching leather strap, this chronograph watch makes its presence felt with inimitable style. It also delivers 1/10th of a second precision as part of the highly legible dial layout. Not forgetting the exceptional wearer comfort made possible by its ingenious case construction.
The watch features a quartz movement with hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date functions. The steel case measures 44 mm in diameter with a screw-locked crown. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the watch which is water-resistant to 100 meters.
The hours and minutes hands of the watch are covered with white Superluminova (green glow). The watch comes with a blue alligator-pattern calfskin strap with applied logo.
As creators of instruments that celebrate the movement of time, Maurice Lacroix understand how valuable every second is. Since creating their first watch model in 1975 their efforts have reaped an abundance of design awards and patents for their unique innovations – catapulting the brand into the hallowed league of Swiss Watch Manufacturers that employs over 200 people worldwide.
