Heir to over 150 years of watchmaking expertise, the legacy of a long line of watchmakers, Grand Prix puts its stamp on Swiss watchmaking tradition. Bringing mechanical excellence together with fine craftsmanship, the new Superlative COSC beats to the tempo of an extra-thin, COSC-certified chronometer caliber.
Its elegantly slim silhouette reveals a wealth of perfectly executed finishes which can be contemplated through the sapphire back. The dial deploys a sophisticated composition of contrasting circles around an intricately skeletonized central rosette, creating subtle textures against the elegant beauty of gold tones.
Mirroring the applied hour-markers, mesmerizing diamonds prolong this composition that culminates in a magnificently architectured two-tone bracelet. The watch features a mechanical automatic movement with a Soprod A10 extra-thin caliber, COSC-certified chronometer, circular-graining, Côtes de Genève on the oscillating weight.
The stainless steel case measures 41 mm with an 18K gilding on the bezel and crown. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal, covers the front and back and the watch is water-resistant to 50 meters. The dial of the watch is Gold-toned with skeletonized rosette in the centre and diamond hour-markers. There is a date window at 3 o’clock with a two-tone bracelet/strap two-tone steel.
Grand Prix was founded by Guy A. Cattin at the end of the 20th century. He represents the 6th generation in charge of the Cattin Swiss watchmaker family. In 2014, the company was transferred from Neuchâtel to the Swiss Jura, where the Cattin family has continued producing watches for over 150 years and Grand Prix has gained the inheritance.
