Renault’s new Captur has gained a more distinctive appeal with its C-Shape light signature, new body colors and glass roof. This top-selling urban crossover now sports a new interior, redesigned for enhanced quality and an upgraded design, inside and out, along with new equipment. With these enhancements, the top-selling B-segment crossover in Europe (215,670 units sold in 2016) is expected to retain its pole position.
Captur keeps the essentials responsible for its success, including its two-tone body. Personalization possibilities have been extended with two new body colors, Atacama Orange and Ocean Blue, and a new roof color, Platinum Gray. Motorists can choose from over 30 different combinations to create their very own Captur.
Captur steps up the differentiation game with six interior personalization packs including a variety of colors – Ivory, Ocean Blue, Caramel, Red, Satin Chrome and Patina Chrome – and five exterior packs: Ivory, Ocean Blue, Cappuccino, Red, and Atacama Orange (for the wheel bolts and door panel strips).
As with the Brand’s latest models, the New Captur is equipped with full LED Pure Vision headlights (depending on the version). This technology enhances the car’s looks and improves safety while providing greater efficiency. LED daytime running lights are built into the lower bumper in a C shape, forming the brand’s light signature. The rear lights feature the same signature, visible day and night.
Captur has been redesigned to strengthen kinship with its big brother, Kadjar. The grille has been upgraded to more closely resemble that of Renault’s other crossovers, notably – a chrome strip. Front and rear, the bumper includes new skid plates underscoring Captur’s adventuresome personality. Four wheel types are available for the first three trim levels: two 16-inch, Extreme and Adventure, and two 17-inch, Emotion and Explore. From the third trim level up, Captur can be fitted with a fixed glass roof. Available only in two-tone configuration, the new feature improves ambient light in the cabin.
